Important Considerations in Hair Removal
Multiple treatments are needed: This is due to the hair growth cycle. Only the hairs in an active growth cycle can be targeted; thus, only ¼ to 1/3 of hair is targeted per visit.
Factors of hair growth: These include age, weight, sex, metabolism, ethnicity, hormones and medications. Due to the variables, it is difficult to determine the total number of treatments an individual will require.
Percentage of reduction: At this time, total hair removal is not feasible. Most people experience a reduction of 70 to 90% after a series of treatments, as well as a reduction in thickness and color of the remaining hair.
Occasional touch ups: You may find that additional treatments or touch ups are desired. This is completely safe and up to the client.
Laser hair removal technology: Although the system has been around for about 15 years, it is still a relatively new process and long-term permanency statistics are not yet available. Initial studies show excellent results.
